Daniel H. Kruger, M.Ed., LPC, NCC

Daniel is a proud Brownsville native. He has always been an active listener with an open mind and heart for comforting others. As a counselor, he is mindful and thoughtful. He has worked with diverse groups and, through his experience, Daniel has learned that the most empowering counselor-client relationship is one where the client is an equal partner in the process.

Daniel develops this relationship by beginning with a Person-Centered approach. The goal then is to teach the client how to break down overwhelming problems into smaller parts. Daniel implements Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help the client defeat their problems with a positive, growth mindset. Although these two steps bring relief and a sense of empowerment to the client, Daniel anchors his approach with the use of Logotherapy. By doing so, the progress made has more impact on the client because they are able to identify the meaning behind their efforts.

Experiencing first-hand the moments when clients confidently take control of their life, in a way that is most meaningful to them, not only brings Daniel fulfillment in his duties as a counselor, but deep satisfaction knowing both parties are better people at the closing of their journey.
